Ryan Pyle is back on his motorcycle. After successful adventure motorcycle journeys through China and India, Ryan is keen to set out and explore the complexities and diversity of Brazil. This incredible journey will take Ryan from the sunny beaches of Rio de Janeiro, through the mining towns in Minas Gerais, into the deep Amazon and back through the southern metropolises of Florianopolis, Blumenau and Sao Paulo. Ryan Pyle will travel around a country full of contrasts, one-minute Brazil is vibrant and exotic, and the next minute it is crowded and chaotic and then all of a sudden it can feel haunting and empty. Ryan's biggest challenge on this adventure will be taking on some of South America's most dangerous and isolated roads. Join Ryan, as he rides his motorcycle on an epic 14,000km, 60-day circumnavigation around Brazil.

1 Rio de Janeiro to Salvador
Ryan’s journey begins by exiting Rio and making his way up through the foothills to Minas Gerais province in search of gold. From there he is heading north up the coast with his targets set on the first capital city of Brazil, Salvador.
2 Salvador onto the Trans-Amazonian Highway
Leaving the metropolis of Salvador behind, Ryan moves further north up the coast only to get stuck in a monster sand dune, before heading west and moving deeper in to the Amazon Basin. Everything begins to get difficult...
3 The Trans-Amazonian to Manaus
After his first proper crash of the trip, courtesy of the Amazonian mud, Ryan’s spirits are down as he comes to the realisation that travelling by road in the Amazon is going to be much harder than he originally anticipated.
4 Manaus to the Porto Velho
Ryan’s rest on the Amazon river boat has come to an end. It's now time to test Ryan’s resolve and put his survival skills to the test, but not before a quick flight over the Rio Negra River. Ryan barely survives his night in the jungle.
5 Porto Velho to Iguazu Falls
Leaving the thick, dense jungle behind, Ryan begins his tour through the wheat fields and Great Plains of Brazil in the agricultural province of Mato Grosso.
6 Iguazu Falls to Rio de Janeiro
Ryan is back on the road and getting his sand boarding and yoga skills put to the test in the resort town of Florianopolis. Ryan learns about Japanese culture in Sao Paulo and then on his departure decides to climb the Pedro do Bau.

Colin and Ryan Pyle
In October 2010, Colin completed the Guinness Word Record setting Middle Kingdom Ride with his brother Ryan, and the two of them followed up that trip in 2012 with the India Ride, an amazing 54 day circumnavigation of India.
